Are you afraid of the dark? Eyelevel Gallery is thrilled to present, They Only Come Out At Night, this year's annual members exhibition running July 18th – August 15th. The exhibition contains an eclectic and exciting variety of artwork by Eyelevel Gallery's membership.

The opening reception coincides with Eyelevel Gallery's Annual General Meeting.
Everyone is welcome to attend the AGM occurring on July 18th at 6 p.m, followed by the opening reception at 8 p.m. Bring your favourite night time attire!

FLIGHT Show at Shearwater Aviation Museum

I like to invite you to a very exiting group exhibition at the Shearwater Aviation Museum in Dartmouth from April 30th until May 30th.
The show is called 'FLIGHT' and celebrates the flight of the Silver Dart in 1909 in Baddeck.
Members of Visual Arts Nova Scotia (Region Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, Fall River area) are showing their creative interpretation of the theme.

Arts Nova Scotia exhibit 'FLIGHT'

Join artists from the upcoming Visual Arts Nova Scotia exhibit “Flight” as they discuss the exhibit and their own work. “Flight” will be the first regional exhibition for member artists from Dartmouth, Bedford and Sackville in several years and the artwork will represent a wide variety of artistic mediums and styles.

Artists Anna Horsnell Wade, Jacqueline Steudler, Sarah Jane Conklin and Barbara Schmeisser will be presenting and discussing their current work on Wednesday, April 22, 12:15 to 12:45.

Food samples from Oliver’s Restaurant and a tasting from the NSLC will also be offered in celebration of Alderney Landing’s 10th Anniversary Celebration.

Located in the South End of Halifax between the Westin Hotel and the Via Rail Station, Art in a Box is a group of glass display boxes, each measuring 40" x 84" X 17". Due to its unique location, Art in a Box offers artists an opportunity to display and sell their work in a venue that is seen by many visitors to Nova Scotia. Exhibition runs June 30–October 31, 2008.

The landscapes of snow and ice are continuously melting and opening up, allowing and inspiring scientific research – research that is going further and deeper than ever before. The International Council for Science (ICSU) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has named March 2007 to March 2009 International Polar Years, a program gathering Arctic and Antarctic research from scientists all over the world.”
